Hannah's social life pretty much fills up my calendar....In fact, if it wasn't for her social life I probably wouldn't have one lol...
Look! she's learning how to write her name :) Since she's not attending preschool, we do preschool at home.
Hannah started tumbling this month. And so far she's doing pretty good and loving her class.
Hugo wanted to see Hannah is action so he came to watch her. Afterwards we stopped by IHOP for some late breakfast. It reminded us how it was having only one kid to pay attention too. We decided we're gonna do this more often, taking turns between Hannah and Christopher of course :)
Hugo and I are staying pretty busy too. He's trying to finish his shed before the winter LOL, while keeping up with work. And I am pretty much all over the place. Besides taking care of everyone's needs, I have photography to keep me busy :) Trying to juggle everything without neglecting my family is no easy task...so far my only solution is to stay up late. And if you've known me for a while, that's hard for me because I love my sleep. Another option I was thinking of was to put Hannah in MDO twice a week. But i'm not sure I can do that...maybe next year :)
So one weekend when Hugo was busy with the shed I decided to take the kids to Six Flags. They had a blast as usual. I was having fun too until the dreaded tea cup :/ That ride pretty much messed me up lol...I can handle all the up and down and twists of roller coasters, but boy I can't do spinning rides. Good thing that was the last ride of the day.
I knocked out shortly after taking this picture :P
We are a normal-average (ok maybe not so normal) family with two crazy wonderful lil' kids who are good most of the time sometimes. And same goes with my hubby. They all drive me crazy at times but I LOVE them to the moon and back.
Thanks again for stoppin' by!

Busy Busy Bees...
Does anyone know how to get more hours in the day??? If you do please don't keep it to yourself and share with me...I'm begging you :) We are all staying busy these days...especially Christopher.
Since he still complains about his lunch being so late (12:30) I have to make sure he has a good breakfast to keep him full until snack time.
Fridays are spelling test day and so far he's doing a great job :)
Christopher finished his house and shed before his Papa :P He built this all by himself, he must get it from his dad. Christopher has always been a huge fan of LEGO.
Movie matinee after school. Can you guess what the kids watched? The kids really enjoyed this event, props to the Thelma Jones PTA for setting this up. It was a huge success :)
His days pretty much has to stay on schedule or else it throws everything off. He has homework everyday during the week so after school its snack time and a short break before we have to get right on it. It really isn't the hardest thing (I can finish his hw in 5 minutes or less haha) but for a first grader boy who's tired and just wants to play it takes about 45 minutes :/ On Mondays and Fridays he has Tae-Kwondo at 6 so those days are even busier. Sometimes I feel like we're constantly on the rush...from homework, dinner, shower, and then do it again and again. The funny thing is, I kinda depend on that busy-ness to keep me going...is that bad?
One good thing that we have started doing... my friend Michelle and I have been taking turns picking up the kids after school. This is saving my sanity big time. School pick-up may sound like a piece a cake, after all what's so hard about picking up your kid from school right? Its the worst part of my day. Not because I'm not excited to see my kids but the pick up like is NO fun at all...especially when its over 100 degrees outside. The whole process can take almost an hour....i can go on and on and write a whole blog post on after school pick up...but I won't, lucky you :)
Here's some recent photos...sorry its phone pics.

Labor Day Feast
We had a lazy labor day weekend full of yummy food.
I thought it would be fun to start this off backwards...
So this is what my plate looked like after I devoured my food!
For the main course...Hugo grilled some NY strip steak and I made some sauteed mushrooms and some corn. YUMMO!
Everything was super delicious even Christopher finished his plate. Hannah, on the other hand, wouldn't even try it. She had cereal and some grapes. Oh well, at least she got something in that tummy of hers
It was such a nice day. After dinner we relaxed and watched the kiddos play. And just so you know...I didn't take any pics of Christopher because he pretty much told me if I took pictures of him that he wouldn't finish his food. Christopher doesn't like the camera so much...unlike Hannah. As soon as Hannah sees me put the camera on my face she strikes a pose or a smile lol...I guess its a girl thing :)
In other news....Hugo's making progress on his shed. All the walls are up and it looks like maybe just maybe he will actually get it done before winter ....he started in spring lol. So far he has done everything himself. He keeps saying he want to hire a helper, but he has control issues when it comes to building and construction stuff so he ends up doing everything himself :)

For appetizers...Hugo grilled dove meat. Last week was the kick-off for dove hunting season and he brought home some birds. Yup that's how we do it in Texas....we hunt our dinner haha j/k I have never eaten dove before and wasn't really sure if I wanted to, but since Hugo offered to cook dinner....what the heck. I'm not sure what seasoning and marinade he used for the bird but he filled it with jalapeno and cream cheese and wrapped it with bacon. I don't eat bacon so mine wasn't wrapped with anything, just served with the grilled stuffed jalapeno.

Just Some Recent Events
Yesterday I ended my "facebook fasting" I lasted over a month. I didn't think I would even last a week and honestly it was a lil' difficult in the beginning to stay away mostly because i'm so nosy haha. But then by the second week it didn't bother me at all. I think it was good for me to stay away from a lil' and be more productive. I did miss sharing recent pics and events of the kiddos with our family. We have no family in the DFW area so its nice keeping up with them on facebook and kinda makes it feel like you see them all the time even only in the world wide web (who says that anymore by the way?)
Anyway...I just want to share some of the recent events in case you're curious :)
So here are some pics....not in chronological order :P
look who has an orange belt now :)
Hangin' out at the pool whenever we could waiting patiently for the dentist
