I have neglected our family blog long enough...8 months to be exact :/ Trust me I am very disappointed in my self. But I am determined to get it rollin' again, so instead of rambling on my excuses for neglecting this blog I'm just going to start fresh!!!
But I did post some family stuff on my photography
site, under the category
Slice Of Life if you feel like checkin' it out.
So here we go...Once upon a time.... :P

Back To School
I can't believe it, my sweet baby boy (not so baby anymore) is a first grader. We all say it and hear it everywhere, but boy does time fly when you have kids!!! Last year, I felt more nervous than excited for his first day of school since he had never been in daycare or preschool, but this year I am 100% excited for him. So excited that I was willing to take a picture without makeup on my face haha...so when you see the picture below, know that I wasn't crying or even tired :P
So far he's loving everything about first grade and being back in school, except for lunch time. Poor baby is having a hard time adjusting to eating lunch at 12:30, when last year they had lunch at 10:30. He complains about it every time i pick him up from school...such a typical guy thing right lol ? He did so well in Kinder and I know he'll be great in first grade :)
Baby sister, Hannah, is doing well too. How could she not though...she has me all to herself all day long ;) I think her favorite part about big brother being in school is...she gets to play with all the toys the way she wants to, without Christopher telling her "That's not how it goes!" But she does miss him at around one o'clock or so, that's when she'll start asking "when can we pick up Christopher?"
How's mom doing?
Well, since you asked lol ... I am doing good :) Several people did ask me if I was ready for him to start school and the truth is "yes" but not because I'm ready to get rid of him. I love having him at home and I am one of those mom who has attachment issues. I'm ready because I miss having a routine...which I'm sure will change in a few months :P
p.s.
he's using the same backpack and lunch sack from last year :) at first i was feeling a lil' guilty for not buying him all new things, but they were pretty much in new condition and I really try to teach him the value of things...to be happy and thankful with what you have. I am one of those mom who say to their children "there are hungry kids around the world who would be happy to eat your meals" whenever they don't want to finish their dinner...I don't know if that's a sad thing or good thing that I'm like that lol. Sometimes my hubby says I'm cheap...and my response to that is "I'm not cheap, I'm thrifty" :P
