Hi and welcome to my lil' corner of the world wide web (i think i'm the only person that still uses that term). Anyhoo, I'm glad you're here. This is my "family blog" or should I say "momma blog" because let's be honest...it's a blog of my ramblings. It's a place where I post the adventures of my little family and my love for food and photography. This is where I will brag about my perfect kids and my perfect husband...how they never leave their wet towels on the floor, how they eat their vegetables, and how they never ever throw tantrums. Ha!!! not even close :P

We are a normal-average (ok maybe not so normal) family with two crazy wonderful lil' kids who are good most of the time sometimes. And same goes with my hubby. They all drive me crazy at times but I LOVE them to the moon and back.

Thanks again for stoppin' by!

First Day of Kindergarten

This is it....my not so "lil" boy is starting school. This is a very exciting day **eeek**
The morning went pretty good, he didn't fuss so much about waking up early cause he's pretty excited too (i'm sure this will change by the 3rd day). It was such a nice morning that we decided to walk to school.

Overall this day was so much harder for me and Hannah than it was for Christopher.
Since grandma was still in town, I decided to visit him for lunch all by myself...yes i realize its only the first day and yes I realize that i'm having some attachment issues. But guess what, I was not the only parent there for lunch. There were 2 other moms and one kid even had the whole family there (mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa). So I didn't feel too bad anymore :)

Hannah was sad being home without her big brother. Seriously, she didn't know what to do with herself. Her day got better when I told her it was time to pick Christopher up from school.

Its too early...
cereal and fresh fruit smoothie for breakfast :)

I'm ready...let's go !!!

Lunch time.
We decided to let him eat at school when they're serving pizza and burgers :)

Time to pick up my brother

So happy to see each other !!!

Meet The Teacher

I can't believe it...my Christopher is going to school this year. This is such an exciting yet nerve-wrecking time for me. Christopher is curious and excited to check out what school is all about.

Me - "are you ready for school Christopher"
Christopher - "I think so...I just want to check out what school is all about"

We went to "meet the teacher night" to...well, meet his Kindergarten teacher. I wasn't sure how I was going to make it through the night, but I managed to hold back the tears the whole time. But I did go camera crazy...Hugo kept trying to take the camera away from me :)

Although I did start to tear up after I uploaded the pictures and started looking at them.

Earlier that day we had a "back to school" playdate with our mom's group. It was our last pool playdate of the year.

Weekend With The Nevarez Family

Our friends came to visit us for the weekend...and we had a great time hangin' out with them. Our kids get along so well...it was just all goo all around. Hugo took the boys out fishing, then we went tubing, and ate yummy brisket. They said they'll be back for Hugo's brisket :)

Jonah "aka Donut" enjoyed being on the boat. He and Hannah loved feeling the breeze blowing on their faces
Cody did really good on the tube and stayed on for a while. The only reason he let go when he did was because his swim shorts were slowly slipping off and he didn't want to give everyone a Rated R show...and we thank you for that Cody lol

Maria....well...she was scared :P
I can't believe they trusted Hugo with their son. I made sure they signed a waiver first hahaha

El Capitan....or should it be La Capitan :P
